Akaroa Lavender sits on 40 acres of land with over 7,000 lavender plants and over 35,000 plants in our regenerating native forests.
Akaroa Lavender's vacation rentals are designed to let guests relax, away from their daily busy life. Each location is carefully selected with peace and serenity in mind. All vacation rentals are located in separate exclusive areas without interruption of other guests. Each has an expansive view over the Akaroa Harbour and surrounding mountains. Guests are welcome to explore all the tracks on the property. You will be accompanied by bird songs all day and evening and wake up to the dawn chorus.

Our farm is well-positioned to explore Banks Peninsula. We are about an hour and 20 minutes from the Christchurch airport, approximately 10 to 15 minutes before Akaroa, and about 20 minutes from a great swimming beach and countless walking tracks.
Our nearest food outlets and shop are 5 minutes away with the 18-hole Akaroa Gold Course at the bottom of our hill.
With very low light pollution, this is a perfect place for stargazing with a clear view of the Milky Way and Southern Cross.
If you enjoy glamping with modern amenities, then Kūkupa Matairangi is your perfect option. The Lavender Cottage will be your best option if you travel with family or friends. We also host two Tiny houses Kūkupa Puni and Kūkupa Taunga to suit those who prefer the simplicity of tiny space.

Arataki Lavender is a one-hour seasonal tour (Nov-Feb) of the lavender fields. This is a hands-on experience where you get up close and personal with lavender. The guided tour includes a free Lavenade drink and lavender flower picking.
Arataki Conservation is a two-hour seasonal (Feb-Nov) tour of our farm. This interactive experience focuses on our journey to regenerate and protect our native forests and includes our special Kiwi afternoon tea.
